Decision details

To progress the Phase 1 scheme, it is necessary to appoint a number of utility companies to carry out diversion works for all existing services and equipment affected by the highway works. Each company will require payment in advance, based on detailed C4 estimates, in order to get them to
commit to the works and enable the Main Contractor to programme and coordinate their individual on-site activities.
In accordance with Standing Order 5.8.1 (a) (i), the services are proprietary, and no alternative provider is available.
These costs are refundable, should the scheme not proceed.
Zayo Group have submitted a C4 detailed estimate in the sum of £81,585.29

Option 1 - Approve the appointment of Zayo Group to carry out underground service diversions and associated civil engineering works at a cost of £81,585.29 based on detailed C4 stage estimate.

Option 1
Approve appointment of Zayo Group to carry out underground diversion work – recommended.

Option 2
Do not approve appointment of Zayo Group – Without this work being carried out, the scheme could not proceed.
