Title: Head of Communications & Marketing
Daniel joined the SYMCA Executive Team in February 2020. He is responsible for the communications and marketing strategy for the Mayoral Combined Authority, the Mayor and the Local Enterprise Partnership.
Prior to joining the organisation, Daniel was Head of News at the Joseph Rowntree Foundation in the External Affairs directorate, where he developed communications strategies and campaigns to influence and engage policy makers, businesses and the public.
He previously oversaw external affairs for IPPR North, leading its political and stakeholder engagement and campaigns to influence the Northern Powerhouse agenda. Before moving into communications, Daniel was a journalist for regional and national outlets.
