The Overview and Scrutiny Committee is a vital part of the Mayoral Combined Authority’s (MCA) decision-making process. It has the responsibility to check that the MCA and LEP is delivering its objectives and that the decisions made in policies, strategies and plans have been made in the best interests of the residents and workers of the local areas.
They also hold the MCA and LEP to account and ensure that all aspects of the decision-making process are transparent, inclusive and fair. These meetings are open to the public and are webcast.
