We envisage that the emergency Tier 3 Grant money will be paid to the MCA directly at a total value of £41m. The other scenario is that this may go directly to Local Authorities but as we do not exactly understand government intentions we need to take to the MCA the decision that if the route for the funding is via the MCA they authorise acceptance of the grant.
This decision will be required before the MCA Board meeting on 16 November 2020.
