As the CBI's director for Yorkshire and the Humber, Beckie Hart is responsible for managing and developing relationships with a wide range of organisations and stakeholders in the region for the benefit of the business community, as well as recruiting new members to the CBI and central and regional lobbying. In addition, Beckie and her team deliver a programme of policy and best practice events for CBI members and regional stakeholders. She writes a weekly column for the Yorkshire Post as well as speaking about business related matters in other areas of the media.

Beckie’s responsibilities also extend to overseeing the principal representative CBI body in the region, the Regional Council, which comprises chief executives, chairs and board members of CBI member companies from a cross sector and size of businesses. 

Prior to joining the CBI, Beckie held a number of managerial roles in small and medium sized manufacturing companies based in the Yorkshire and the Humber.

Outside the CBI, Beckie is the Chair of the Board of Trustees at Hull Truck Theatre, a mid-scale producing theatre. She is also a Commissioner for the Yorkshire & Humber Climate Commission and a cook and server at the Silent Community Kitchen. She is married with 2 school age children.
