Regional Secretary, TUC Yorkshire and the Humber

In a national first in 2018, members of the Sheffield City Region Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) board agreed to appoint a trade union representative to the board. Bill is Regional Secretary of TUC Yorkshire and the Humber. The TUC works with organisations within the region including politicians, government departments, local and combined authorities, metro-mayors and devolved bodies, Local Enterprise Partnerships, business and civil society organisations to ensure that the voice of working people is heard and included in policy.
